Thinking in “A Certain Way”

In “The Science of Getting Rich”, Wallace Wattles discusses the importance of focus in attaining wealth of any kind. We need to get a clear picture of the end result in our dreams and visions. But that isn’t enough to make it happen.

Contemplation and meditation are great tools, but alone cannot manifest riches. I learned “visualization” techniques back in the early 1970’s. It took me another 30 years to discover why these techniques create my experience. The reason they work is the feeling generated in this state of mind. The energy generated at this level actually causes attraction to the desired goal. Energy spent in anxiety and fear push away the desired goal. To actively attract our desires, we must have passion of purpose. Passion is something deep inside that causes momentum; motivates us toward action.

Humanity has a plethora of passionate causes under an umbrella facade of charity. This divine nature in people is often exploited by greed and motivated by fear of lack. People who most need the gifts of charity often suffer due to the politics of executing distribution. Dollars often flow to the most marketable recipients instead of the more needy. Huge infrastructures are built around kindness to a point of suffocating the ends in the expression of the means. But that’s enough of my pontificating for now.

Instead of defining our individual passions, we often seek expression through an established community. I tried to do the same thing with my music. When I discovered my passion was for singing songs that affect spiritual awareness and growth, I looked for a group to join. As a busy business woman, I had no time to organize the group I visualized and no source of financing to make it happen.

Being me, the “eccentric” idealist with a unique perspective of Divinity, I couldn’t be content with a church choir or community theatre. That would have been far too easy. . . So instead, I take the long road; the scenic route toward enlightenment. Every step of the way, I hear and see Divinity directing my course of action. This is the passion Wallace discusses: The passion of purpose. I define the purpose of my music as “contributing to the consciousness evolution of man kind”. I wrote that before I knew I could compose or even write lyrics; about 6 years ago.

Wallace discusses one more thing about creating that often seems to be the hard part for many people: Faith. Faith and certainty of prays already being granted is the key to activating whatever needs to fall in place for Divinity to deliver good fortune.

In my experiment of manifesting lucrative licensing agreements on my songs or something better, I am learning to have faith that whatever needs to happen, is happening. I don’t try to pretend to know the “right” person to send my music or beg friends for favors. I’m actively engaged in believing Divinity knows better than I what to do. All I need to do is hear my inner guidance and move in whatever direction I’m shown. Every time fear of lack creeps in (like the bill-paying time of month), I know that every need is provided in perfect order.
